Guitar Hero 4 to Feature Custom Song Creation, Additional Instruments

Published by bdgamer at 8:25 am under Uncategorized Edit This

lolcatsdotcom6b6kx5dck1k9wiu4.jpgThe Guitar Hero franchise is big business now, with Activision claiming it to be their biggest money-maker (besides Call of Duty 4, of course). The third entry in the series has sold millions of units across the United States along and its popularity is undeniable.

So, it is no surprise that Guitar Hero 4 is in the works as well, but what it will feature is quite surprising. According to a post by trustworthy NeoGAF forum user, the game will expand on the series by including drum and vocal gameplay in addition to bass and guitar, ala Rock Band. His post also states that it will feature custom song creation when it hits stores this Fall. All this information comes from the June issue of Game Informer magazine.

The song creation functionality will allow users to customize everything but the vocals, though exact details weren’t offered. Users will be able to upload and share their songs through the Internet; even album art can be created.

As per the post, four bands have already been confirmed for the game - Linkin Park, Van Halen, Sublime and The Eagles. More bands are going to be announced soon.

Guitar Hero 4 is sounding more and more like Harmonix’s Rock Band day by day. But it one ups the band simulator by including song creation. Now, that is brutal!
